Functions of HCl :-
- The main function of HCl is to convert inactive Enzyme into active Enzyme
Pepsinogen and Prorenin are converted into inactive Enzyme
Pepsinogen -------------> Pepsin
Prorenin ---------------> Renin
- It destroy all the bacteria present in the food .
- HCl stops the action of saliva , the medium is highly acidic.
- It dissolves the portions of the food and make it soft .
