Functions of I.O.C. : To encourage and support the promotion of ethics in sports as well as education of youth through sports and to dedicate its efforts to ensuring that, in sport, the spirit of fair play prevails and violence is banned. To act against any form of discrimination affecting the Olympic movement.

Functions of IOC:

1. To select the venue for Olympic Games held every four years

2. Vigilance against doping

3. To discourage any kind of discrimination

4. To maintain unity and freedom of the Olympic movement
