Lysosomes are spherical, membrane bound organelles that are generated by the golgi apparatus. They contain hydrolytic enzymes, and so function as part of the recycling system of the cell.

all the waste materials and worn out organelles end up in the lysosome.they have digestive enzymes capable of digesting cellular substances.

whenever the cellular metabolism is disturbed they burst open letting out the enzymes finally the enzymes digest their own cell.thus they r called the suicidal bags of the cell
