Functions of the main parts of the sperm
↪The sperm is divided in head, middle piece and tail.
↪Acrosome is the top part of the head of the sperm which secretes an enzyme called hyaluronidase which dissolves the walls of the egg and helps the sperm to enter inside.
↪The nucleus which lies in the head part contains the genetic material i.e., 22+X or 22+Y chromosome. It combines with the nucleus of egg which contains 22+x chromosome .
↪The mitochondria lies in the middle piece which provides energy to the sperm to swim.
↪The tail helps the sperm to swim across.
