white blood cells acts as an defence system of our body.

They fight against germs, infection,and several harmful microorganism.

They provide us immunity and thus ensure healthy life.

BLOOD:-

☄BLOOD is a red colour liquid which circulates in our body . It is red in colour due to red pigment called HAEMOGLOBIN.

=> It is a connective tissue consist of fluid medium called PLASMA.

3 kinds of cell present in human blood are :

☄RED BLOOD CELL:−

• These cells are red in colour due to pigment haemoglobin. RBC ( Red Blood Cell ) don't have nuclei.

Function :-

◆ It carries oxgen (O2)from lungs to all the cells of the body and Carbon dioxide (CO2) from body to the lungs (same amount) .Most of CO2 is carried by plasma in dissolved.

☄WHITE BLOOD CELL:−

• These cells are white in colour . All WBC have nucleus though the shape of nucleus is different in different types of WBC.

Function :-

◆ These cells fight with infection and protect us from disease. They eat up germs which cause disease.

☄PLATELETS:

• They are tiny in fragments of special cell formed in bone narrow. They don't have nuclei.

Function :-

◆ They help in co - egulation of blood (Clotting of blood) in cut or wound.
