Nearly all fungi are heterotrophs so they unable to synthesis their own food. they depends on other organisms for requirement of food. they not have any mechanism to form their own food. saprophyte is the type of heterotrophs.

fungi can't synthesize the food because it doesn't have chlorophyll ok
