FUSE WIRE

A fuse wire is used to protect domestic appliances. Fuse wire has a very  low melting point.Whenever excessive current (which is potentially dangerous for appliances)flows through the fuse wire, the excessive heat(associated with the excessive current flow)melts the fuse wire.
