We know than in a series connection,if one appliance gets damaged,then all the appliances gets automatically stopped. Fuse wire gives safety of the house we are living in.suppose the fuse wire is of 5A,and one day,there is a thunderstorm.And the thunderstorm hits the fuse wire,then the current exceeds 5A,then the fuse wire will melt,and our electrical appliances will remain safe.
