We know----

Potential energy = Mass*Height*acceleration due to gravity

P.E. = M * G * H

P.E. = 1 * 9.8 * 2/100

P.E. = 19.6/100

P.E. = 0.0196 joules

or

P.E. = 0.02 joules (approx)
