A green colored bangle when crushed becomes white. It is due to a process of color subtraction.

White light consists of three colors red, blue and green. If white light is shining on Bangle it means green light is also shining on bangle. If bangle is made with green color and it is crushed it means green color will not reflect form it.

We can see only white color which means white light is reflecting only. In this phenomenon mixture of colors and colors of light are subtracted from original object.
