(g)A rectangular park is 55 m by 25 m. A path 2.5 m wide is built all around it inside it. Find the cost of grassing the remaining part of the park @ 60 per m².​

length of rectangular park with path = 55 m

breadth of rectangular park with path = 25 m

area of rectangular park with path = 55m*25m

= 1375 m^2

now

length of the park excluding path = [55-(2.5+2.5)] = 55-5 = 50m

breadth of the park excluding path = [25-(2.5+2.5)] = 20m

area = 50m*20m

= 1000m^2

area of the rectangle

= 1375m^2-1000m^2

=375m^2

of grassing per metre square park= 60 per m^2

cost of grassing 375m^2

= 375*60

=rs 2250
