Answer:

1. Food is any substance normally eaten or drunk by living things. The term food also includes liquid drinks. Food is the main source of energy and of nutrition for animals, and is usually of animal or plant origin. There are 4 (four) basic food energy sources: fats, proteins, carbohydrates and alchol.

2. Edible seeds are those which can be eaten . For example ,almonds,cashew,peanut,pistachew these are seeds which can eaten rawly. Seeds have high Vitamin C in them that boosts the natural immunity against commonly occurring diseases and ailments.

Sources of food :

  • Plants are the sources of food ingredients like grains, cereals, vegetables and fruits.
  • Animals provide us with milk, meat products and eggs.

3.Honey bees make honey as a way of storing food to eat over the cooler winter period, when they are unable to forage and there are fewer flowers from which to gather food.

4.Carnivores and herbivores have different types of teeth, to suit the type of food they eat. Herbivores have teeth which are shaped to squash and grind plants. Carnivores have teeth which are shaped to slice and rip the meat they eat.

5.Scavengers broke down the organic matter(dead plants and animals) into small pieces and the pieces are digested by Decomposers. Hence they both clean our surroundings.
