G is the centroid of ΔABC and if area of ΔAGB is 12 sq. units then the area of ΔABC is -

a) 24 sq.cm

b) 6 sq.cm

c) 36 sq.cm

d) none of them

\large{\boxed{ \red{ \mathfrak{ Answer:-}}}}

Given:-

  • area of AGB is 12 cm².

As we know if three medians AD, BE and CF of a ΔABC intersect one another at the point G (centroid) then,

[ Image refers in attachment. ]

 \rm \: Area  \: of \:  ΔABC = 3 × Δ AGB

 \rm \implies \: Area  \: of \:  ΔABC = 3 × 12

 \rm \implies \: Area \:  of  \: ΔABC = 36 \:  {cm}^{2}

Option (c) is correct.
