Given:

  • log₄₉(log₂(5x-2)) = 1/2

To Find:

  • Value of x

Solution:

  • logₐy  = b  => aᵇ = y

log₄₉(log₂(5x-2)) = 1/2

Step 1:

Using logₐy  = b  => aᵇ = y where a = 49 , b = 1/2  and y =   log₂(5x-2)

√49  =  log₂(5x-2)   (∵ 1/2 power is Equivalent to square root)

=> 7 = log₂(5x-2)

=> log₂(5x-2) =7

Step 2:

Again using  logₐy  = b  => aᵇ = y where a =2 , b = 7  and y =   (5x-2)

2⁷ = 5x - 2

=> 128 = 5x - 2

=> 130 = 5x

=> 26 = x

Hence , Value of x is 26
