To Solve:

  • Find k in x² + kx + 10 = 0 if one of the roots is 2.

Solⁿ:

putting 2 in x

p(x) = 2

= (2)² + k(2) +10 = 0

= 4 + 2k + 10 = 0

= 14 + 2k = 0

= 2k = -14

= k = -7

Eqⁿ so formed : x² -7x +10
