Hey mate :)

Answer = 4

Explanation -

g(x) = 0

x+2 = 0

x= -2

p(x) = 2x² + 6x + a

p(-2) = 2(-2)² + 6(-2) + a

p(-2) = 2× 4 + (-12) + a

0 = 8 -12 + a

a = 4

Hope it helps

Answer:

a=8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

g(x) = x +2

p(x) = 4 + 6x+a

To find:

value of a

if g(x) = x+2

then x=-2

putting value of x in p(x)

We get, p(-2) = a+6(-2)+4

0 = a-12+4

0 = a-8

-a = -8

a = 8 (Ans)
