Everything follows the first law of motion. It's a universal law. A Law is a big thing in science. Every object is in rest or motion. And they obey the law of inertia, which newton formulated first.

My favourite example is the Train. A Train rests on a thin slice of the rails beneath it, which brings down the kinetic resistance of friction to the moving train. This way the Train is able to achieve high speeds and stay in that uniform motion for long periods of time. It's all inertial.

main point is inertia

Newton's first law of motion states that an object at rest remains at rest and an object in motion remains in motion at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. Velocity is the speed of an object in a specified direction.
