half of his collection. There are now only 35 cards left. How many cards did Gagan start with?​

Sarthak bought 7 more cards,

Total cards now= x+7

Next day, dog ate half of his card collection= (x+7)/2

There are only 31 cards left now.

i.e. (x+7)/2=31

x+7=31*2

x+7=62

x=62–7

x=55

Thus, sarthak started with total 55 cards in his collection.
