Gandhi believed people should lead as simple a life as possible. Do you think people can do this today? If yes, why? If not, why?

Mr. Gandhi believed that leading a simple life, as a better way to learn the needs of most of people, instead of asking and knowing them, because most of them are poor. It is one of the possible way to be honest and uphold morals in social life / society.

This will enable politicians to serve the people better.

Yes people can do this today also. Only a few does, the rest are trying to do in all possible ways.

Gandhi promoted simple living, non-violence, and forgiveness as a way to unite all people peacefully. These principles helped him to teach people a lesson that all can learn. Much of Gandhi's philosophy is rooted in what he learned as a child. From his mother, he learned Hindu teachings.  Gandhi Ji was a very simple man. He was happy and positive in whatever he had and never lived a fancy life.  Gandhiji led a simple life. He helped people in need without expecting anything in return.
