Gandhi Irwin pact was between Gandhiji and the then viceroy of India Lord Irwin it was on the 5th March 1931 before the second round table conference in London the issues discussed in this backward discontinuation of civil disobedience movement participation of Indian National Congress in second round table conference of London and the removal of tax on salt

- 1. It was signed on 5th March, 1931.
- 2. A pact was signed between Gandhi and Lord Irwin called Gandhi-Irwin Pact.
- 3. According to this pact Gandhi ji have to participate in Round Table Conference in London and should called off civil disobedience movement.
- 4. Gandhi ji demanded to release political leaders. So he went London. But he was not satisfied and felt disappointed.
- 5. Ghaffar Khan and Jawaharlal Nehru were still in jail so Gandhi ji relaunched CDM-II. But it lost its momentum by 1934.
