Gandhi desired to establish an India of his dreams. The preamble of the Constitution to some extent succeeded in fulfilling this dream of Gandhi through its ideals like :

1.  Justice : The preamble provided for justice-social, economical and political. All Indians are given due share under the Constitution of India.

2.  Liberty : The citizens of India have been given liberty to express themselves, move freely in the country and practice their faith.

3.  Fraternity : Gandhi believed in mankind and brotherhood. Like wise the Preamble provided for fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;.

4.  Equality : Gandhi believed in equality of mankind. Likewise the preamble provided for equality of status and of opportunity.
