Gandhi went to England to higher studies
at the age of 19. His mother is apprehensive
about young men go astray in western
society. But her fears were allayed that
Gandhi swore not for touch meat, wine and
women. Her mother however was still
unwilling. She had begun make minute
enquiries. Anyone had told her that young
men got lost in England. The school where
he was last study decided to give a befitting
send-of in his honour. It was a uncommon
thing for a young man of Rajkot to go to
England. Gandhi wanted to read a writing
speech offering thanks to all. His whole
frame shaked when he stood up to read.
On the way to Bombay, his brother
accompanied with him. But, there were
difficulties to be face in Bombay as well.
