Passive resistance according to GandhiJi meant using non violence and truth in order to go against the armed imposition of british government on the Indians.

He demanded that Indians to not fight back and to only passively non violently go against (non cooperation) the government rules and order. There is should be no violence in the form of thought speech or hatred.

He argued the if the cause was truth and the struggle was against injustice then violence is not needed to achieve independence from the British empires control.

I hope this cleared ur doubts.

Brainliest would be nice!!!
