Gandhi is known as father of nation. He was born on 2 october 1869 in Gujrat porbandar. Mahatma gandhi was a great son of india. He was a great leader. His mother was a gentle lady. His mother's full name was putlibai. His father name was karam chand gandhi. He was the diwan of a state. He passed his matriculation examination. He went to england for higher studies. He passed law. And became a barrister. Then he came back back to india. Mahatma gandhi went to south afica. He worked for the good of Indians living there. Then he came back to india. He went to jail many times. He got india freed. India became free in 1947.before independence of india he starts many movements. In year 1916 gandhi ji start movemt for champaran farmers. In 1917 they started a movement in kheda for famers. In 1918 they started a movement in Ahemdabad for cotton industry labours. They started namak yatra from Dandi at 12 march, 1930 with 78 followers. They end this on 6 april, 1930 after 24 days they reach sabarmati ashram and make salt with the process of evaporation of sea water. He was a great man. But on 31 January, 1948 a man named Nathuram Godse killed him. We love Mahatma gandi. May he live long!!!!!!!!!!!!
