Ganga has various names at various places it is named as Alaknanda in
Bhagirathi and Devprayaga.

It has other names like Son, Betwa, Chambal.

It is also known as Ganges in Bangladesh.

ganga comes from bhagirathi,and alkananda in devprayag when they joint together we call it ganga ,from devprayag to kolkata it has same name ,but after kolkata it go in two diffrent path first part go the direct kolkata to bay of bangal , (hugli river) second part go to the bangladesh we call it  padma and its join with jamuna and go to the bay of bangal
