The magnitude of electric field between the electrodes will be 16000 V/m.

  • We know that,

        E = - ΔV/  Δx

  • Where  ΔV = Potential difference,  Δx = gap between electrodes, E = Electric field.
  • Given,  

       ΔV =  20 V

       x = 1.25 mm = 1.25 × 10∧-3 m

  • So, E = 20/(1.25 × 10∧-3)  = 16000 V/m.
