For me, the biggest conclusion derives from the fact that there is no such thing as throwing stuff away. There is no “away”. Every single object that is deemed as useless will not dissapear. If we want to go deep, we can justify this using the law of conservation of matter.

Even though just about everything eventually will decompose, this process has a lot of unwanted by-products. If we use a human time scale, most of the things we discard don’t decompose. We are basically storing them underground, while telling ourselves otherwise.
