garden is 90 m long and 75 m broad. A path 5 m wide is to be built all around (outside) it along its
order. Find the area of the path.​

area of only garden= l×b(l=90, b=75)

= 90×75= 6750m^2

area of garden with the addition of path= L×B

(L= 90+5+5=100, B= 75+5+5= 85)

100×85= 8500m^2

area of path only = (L×B) - (l×b)

= 8500 - 6750= 1750m^2
