Garima's father is a milkman. He daily sells 24 litres of milk in the market of Durgapur. He needs 4 litre of water for mixing with the milk. His daughter brings water in two buckets of 5 litre and 3 litre each from the handpump. Then he pours the milk in the cylindrical vessels of radius 21 cm.
1. Is it possible to bring 4 litre of water with the help of those buckets? If yes, how?
2. Find the height of the cylindrical vessel.

Answer:

1. Possible

2. Height = 20.22 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Yes it is possible to bring 4 litre water in buckets, but it makes less sense as if 4 litres are daily required, but daughter is bringing a total of 8 litres.

Total volume of milk with water = 24 + 4 = 28 litres

28 litre is equal to 28000 cubic cm

Volume of cylinder = pi x r^2 x h

28000 = pi x 21^2 x h

H = 20.22 cm
