This is because coconut is a very rough fibre and it cannot be washed very easily and it  also breaks very easily.

Fibre is the basic component for making any kind of wearable garments for ourselves.

A soft and comfortable fabric is ideal for garment making.

On the other hand;

Coconut fibres are hard and rough which is not appropriate for making garments.Also the thickness of coconut fibres are way too much for sewing and making garments.
