rate of diffusion inversely proportional to square root of their molecular wt
e.g
rA/rB = √(MB/MA)
according to question ,
rA /rB= 2/1
so,
2/1 = √(MB/MA)
take square both sides
4/1 = MB/MA
MA/MB = 1/4
