Matter consists of molecules in it
Compressibility depends on the arrangement of the molecules
Gases are very loosely packed that means the molecules are very far from each other
Hence we can compress them very easily
Liquids are loosely packed
Liquids can also be compressed but not as much as easy as the gases
Solids are tightly packed
We cannot try to compress solids

Gases are easily compressible than solid or liquid because gases have large spaces between them and they are freely movable when we compress gas it changes into liquid where as solids were rigid (hard) due to close packing or liquid were loosely packed
