Particles are far apart from each other because there are very weak forces of attraction between them. Because of this, gases don't have a definite shapeor volume and fill any container. Because there is lots of free space between particles, gases can easily be compressed.

Gases have neither definite volume now definite shape because of weak molecular force between them that is the wander vall's force.
They can be easily delocalised and gets detached to each other ... resulting in not having definite shape .
