It depends on solubility and pressure of the gas.

the gases will dissolve in water because these are attracted by the polar areas
eg: carbon dioxide can dissolve in water
the bond between the carbon and oxygen is not polar but the bond between hydrogen and oxygen is enough so we can Dissolve the CO2 in water
