Because as we put any gas in a container it take its shape so it does not have its own shape and it has negligible compressibility.And also the inter particle distance of particles of gases are very large.As a result they have less force of attraction between them.

gases neither have a fixed size nor shape because the particles of gases are not tidely packed, particles are free to move, molecular distance between particles are large.
