Because as we put any gas in a container it take its shape so it does not have its own shape and it has negligible compressibility. And also the inter particle distance of particles of gases are very large. As a result they have less force of attraction between them.

gases neither have a fixed size nor shape because the particles of gases are not tidely packed, particles are free to move, molecular distance between particles are large.
