A Rigid bar is suspended by three rods made of same material. The area & length of the central rod are 3A & L, respectvely while that of two outer rods are 2A & 2L respectvely. If a downward force of 50KN is applied to a rigid bar the force in the central & each of outer rod will be what ?
a) 16.67 KN each
b) 30 KN & 15 KN
c) 30 KN & 10 KN
d) 21.4 KN & 14.3 KN

2 Po+Pc = 50 KN.......(1)
Slouter= Sl central
Po(2L)(2A)(E)=Pc(L)(3A)(E)
Pc = 3 po ........(2)
From (1) and (2)
Pc =30KN
Po = 10 KN
So answer is (C)
