Answer:

So, let us consider the breadth as x

then, the breadth is 2x

now,

it is given that,

distance covered by gaurav is 900m in 15 rounds

so,

x(2x)(15)=900m

30x^2=900m

30x= √ 900

30x=30

x=30/30

Thus, x=1m

then, breadth of rectangle is 1m

and, length of rectangle is 1*2=2m

Given:-

  • The length of the park is twice its breadth.
  • The total distance covered by Gaurav is 900m.

To find:-

  • Find the length and breadth of the park ?

Solutions:-

  • Let the length of the park be 'l' m.
  • Let the breadth of the park be 'b' m

We have,

The length of the park is twice its breadth.

=> l = 2b .......(i).

Gaurav takes 15 rounds of a rectangular park and the total distance covered by Gaurav is 900 m

=> 900/15

=> 60m

It means Gaurav cover 60 m distance in one round.

We know that,

The perimeter of the rectangular park => 2(l + b)

According to question:-

=> 60 = 2(l + b)

=> 60 = 2(2b + b) (From equation 1)

=> 60 = 2(3b)

=> 60 = 6b

=> 60/6 = b

=> 10 = b

=> b = 10m

Putting the value of 'b' in equation (i).

=> l = 2b

=> l = 2 × 10

=> l = 20m

Hence, the length and breadth of the rectangular park is 20m and 10m.
