Gautam is deciding to buy a car. he can choose between a diesel car and a petrol car. the diesel car cost rs 9540 more than the petrol car. however, it can travel 17 km per litre, where as the petrol car can only travel 11 km per litre. also diesel cost rs 57.8 per litre and petrol cost rs 55 7.2 per litre. if he buys a diesel car how far must in drive before the saving in fuel covers the extra price of the diesel car .
