Answer:

Length of the train = 250 m

Speed =50 km/hr = 50 *5/18 m/sec = 13.89 m/sec

The train will cross the man completely in 250 m/13.89 m sec-1 = 17.99m

Answer. = 17.99m

Note that the length of the tarin is given by the formula,

Length of train =(speed of train+speed of man) ×time taken to cross the man.

Here the man is standing on the platform, so his speed is 0.

so........................ \\  time = \frac{length \: of \: train}{speed \: of \: train }  \\  \\ 50 \: km \: h =  \frac{50 \: km}{1 \: hr}  \\  =  \frac{50 \times 1000 \: m}{1 \times 3600 \: sec}  \\  =  \frac{500}{36}m \: sec  \\  = 138.9 \: m \: sec \\  \\ now................... \\   = \frac{250}{13.89 \: m \: sec}   \\  =  \frac{250}{13.89} sec \\  = 17.99 \: sec = 18 \: sec
