Answer:

When the temperature of a sample of gas in a rigid container is increased, the pressure of the gas increases as well. The increase in kinetic energy results in the molecules of gas striking the walls of the container with more force, resulting in a greater pressure.

Answer:

Gay Lussac's law states that when gases react they do so in volumes that bear a simple whole number ratio between each other and the products, if gaseous, provided the temperature conditions are kept constant.

For example - N₂ + 3H₂ ------> 2NH₃

This reaction states that hydrogen and nitrogen combine with each other in the ratio 3:1 by volume to form 2 parts by volume of ammonia gas.

It is explained by AVOGADRO'S LAW.

Avogadro's law states that equal volumes of different gases have equal number of molecules under same conditions of temperature and pressure. Since, substances react in simple whole number ratio by the number of molecules, their volumes should also bear simple whole number ratio to each other and to the products. This is what gay lussac's law states.
