This answer can swing either ways. But yes, production of windmills is strongly linked to the GDP of a nation.

Wind energy is strongly linked to the GDP of a nation in direct and indirect manner.

Directly it may have a low contribution to the GDP but indirectly wind energy helps to create economic activities in other industrial sectors such as electrical equipment's, machinery, metals and engineering etc.

"Yes, it is true that GDP of a nation is strongly linked to the production of windmills in that nation.

GDP refers to the Growth Domestic Product that denotes all the products that are produced in a span time which leads to the growth of the country mostly economically.

Windmills are one of the most important assets of the country. It is because they have the ability to convert wind energy in the form of electricity.

The two major things which are required for rapid industrialization are electricity and water. The electricity which is generated by the windmill is used for domestic as well as commercial purpose.

In industries, without electricity, nothing can be done. The windmill present in the rural areas provides electricity to nearby industries which in turn paves way for more production of the product and in turn leads to a hike in GDP of the nation."
