(a) Nandita had to bring her mother from the village to Mumbai for her treatment.

(b) Nandita used to feel like vomiting because the toilet was very dirty and smelled very bad.

(c) Nandita’s house in the village had one room along with separate places for cooking and bathing. They also had a courtyard outside. But her Mama’s house had only one room in which they would sit, sleep, cook, wash and eat.

(d) For getting water from the public tap, people had to get up early in the morning and stand in a queue. There were many fights to get water from the tap, while in the village, there were rivers and ponds for water. There were no fights or rush to get water.
