Explanation:

Given that :

Geeta has to walk 800 m to reach the school

Distance covered by Geeta =800m

She leaves the home at 7:10AM

She reaches school at 7:22 AM

Time taken for journey =7:22AM -7:10AM=

12 min

We know that : Distance =speed ×time

Speed =Distance/Time

=>The speed of Geeta to reach school=

=>800 m/12mins

(1 minute = 60 seconds)

=>800/(12×60)

=>800/720 m/sec

=>80/72 m/sec

=>10/9 m /sec

=> 1 1/9 m/sec

(or) 1.1 m/sec

The speed of Geeta is 10/9 m/sec or 1 1/9 m/sec or 1.1 m/sec
