1. 'Gender of child is determined by the male partner of couple', is a true statement.
2. During zygote formation, male contributes either X or Y chromosomes to the next generation. But the female transfer only X-sex chromosomes to the next generation.
3. At times of fertilization, if X-chromosomes come from male, the child will be a girl and if Y-chromosomes comes then the child will be a boy.

Here's your answer :

_______________________

• "Gender of child is determined by the male partner of couple", the statement is TRUE.

✓ Reason :

>> The female chromosomes have only XX ie for girl only , but the male chromosomes have XY ie either girl or boy.

>> Now, it is the chance whether the X chromosome of male fuses with X of female or Y chromosome of male fuses.

>> Therefore , the father or male partner determine the gender of the child.

>> A boy will be born if Y of male fuses with X of female and a girl will be born if X of male fuses with X of female
