hello,
general form of quadratic polynomial is ax²+bx+c ,where a≠0,b and c are real no.
∴we can say p(x)=ax²+bx+c    (polynomial of variable x)
now p(x)=y as when we draw the graph of quadratic polynomial we take p(x)=y
∴y=ax²+bx+c
hope this helps
