Generally acids react with metals to evolve hydrogen gas. Alcohols are neutral but then also react with sodium metal to produce hydrogen gas. Please give the reason.

Acids + metals = salt + H2
H2 is less reactive than metals so here displacement reaction takes place
Alcohols are neutral but they react with na metal to produce H2 gas becoz sodium is a highly reactive metal.
