generally liquid have low density than solid then why the ice float on water .explain how?​

➡Ice in fact it is solid but it has cage like structure and hence its molecules have more empty space as compared to water so it has smaller density then water and hence floats on water

ice in fact is solid but it has a cage like structure and hence it molecules have more empty space as compared to water so it has less density as compared to water and hence floats on water. it is about 9percent less dense tha water.
