- Hence, these metals thus react with sulphides, carbonates, oxygen to form respective minerals.
Zn + SO4-- → ZnSO4
Ca + CO3-- → CaCO3
* Exceptions (metals occurring in free state) => gold & platinum (because of their low reactivity).
