generally people complain of acidity? what is the main cause of it? why people use milk of magnesia to get relief from it?

Acidity is caused due to the excess of acids in the stomach (specially HCl)...Milk of Magnesia is a base and when we drink it... it neutralizes the acid in the stomach by neutralization reaction and gives us relief.
