genetic engineering is a technique to alter the chemistry of genetic material to introduce these into host organisms and thus change the genetic chemistry of the host organism.

genetic engineering as a boon....... it provides us a new dimension of scientific research. Extraction of many biological material become easier then earlier by introducing genes of one organism into another.

example :- we can get wool from the milk of gm(genetically modified ) goat

another we can get vitamin A from golden rice.

now bane...... due to genetic engineering natural definition of species and any specific organism is changed., which may show negative effects in future.

example.... goat is known to provide milk not wool but due to genetic engineering we are getting wool also

rice are known to provide carbohydrates mainly not vitamins but due to genetic engineering it's also possible
